This thermometer is perfect for all kinds of cooking uses hence the name cooking thermometer.
We have put the thermometer through a series of tests on both food and equipment. Foods are pretty obvious but equipment can be cooking kit such a deep fat fryers, you always need to make sure the oil is the right temperature for use.
One ideal and common use for this cooking probe is jam making. When making jam, marmalade and other preserves you need to make sure the temperature does not go above or below a certain point whilst in the making; these thermometers are perfect for on-the-fly temperature readings. You can be sure to get the best results when keeping an eye on temperatures during the cooking process.
Checking meat temperature is also a common use for this kind of thermometer as the prong can be pushed through the flesh easily. It is required by law for businesses who deal with food to make sure the temperature of the meat reaches a certain point prior to serving to help prevent food poisoning.
The probe can be used also for baby milk and frozen foods along with liquids. The list can go on but the main uses have been mentioned so keep in mind it can be used for many different things in the kitchen.

Good little thermometer. Came in a protective tube with battery and although delivery said 3-5 working days it turned up in two!
I saw this originally on a well-known auction website and it was cheaper on here so happy all round!
